Welcome to Shalford Village
Shalford is a charming Surrey village close to Guildford town. It is on the River Wey and features the historic Shalford Mill.
Whether you are visiting our village for a short stay or moving in for longer, we hope you will enjoy it – we do!
Christmas Fair
Our annual Charity Christmas Fair was held on Saturday 16th November in Shalford Village Halls.
Yet again it was a lovely event enjoyed by many people. There was a wide variety of stalls, with something for everyone.
£6,707 was raised and this will be shared between the ten local charities chosen this year.
A big thank you to everyone involved in organising the fair, running the stalls, making and donating goods and also to everyone who came along on the day.
Carols at Christmas Tree
Join us to sing carols around the Christmas tree on Friday 13th December.
Meet from 5.30pm by the Christmas tree which will be outside the Snooty Fox cafe in Kings Road.
After singing some well known carols, there will be mulled wine and hot chocolate on offer.
Come and join us for a festive village gathering.
Local Defibrillators
There are three defibrillators in your local area: at the Snooty Fox café in Shalford, at Shalford Village Upper Hall and at Peasmarsh Village Hall.
They are all outside and accessible. Call 999 for an ambulance and ask for the access codes when you need to use one. The defibrillators come complete with verbal instructions so that anyone can use them.
Early defibrillation and CPR is key to survival in cardiac arrest. For more information, go to www.resus.org.uk.
