The David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation (DSWF) needs volunteer office staff

The David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation (DSWF) is always looking for volunteer shop staff to help out at the gallery in Shalford. To find out more about what we do and how we raise funds to save critically endangered wildlife please go to davidshepherd.org

Volunteer Vacancies:

Can you spare a few hours each week to help us save wildlife? We are looking for people to join our friendly office team in Shalford, Surrey to support the following activities:

1. Admin support: Half a day per week during office hours to help prepare thank you letters and emails to our growing list of supporters. You need to be able to use Microsoft Word and Outlook, and be able to draft letters and emails following our office templates.

2. Data entry support: Two days a week to help with data entry. (Can be shared between two people.) You need to have a good eye for detail, to be comfortable entering data into a database and resolving basic queries of matching supporter information.

3. Calling assistance: One evening a week (2-3 hours) to help by making telephone calls to our supporters. You need to have a good telephone manner to thank for donations, resolve queries on information that they have sent to us, and where appropriate to update them about our conservation work. Training will be provided and you will work alongside a member of our Fundraising team.

Ideally these roles will be on an ongoing basis. We are happy to be flexible on hours for the right people. We do also require ad hoc support at Christmas and other busy periods around appeals and membership drives. Please contact us if this is more suitable for you. We are passionate about conservation and are making a real difference to the survival of elephants, rhino, tigers and other endangered animals.
